Can anyone tell me where i can find a rattlesnake? I've seen pics of some on the island but are there any spots nearby that you would be more likely to come across one? I did see a roadkill one on the west end with housing on both sides of the road! crazy You could say it's on the bucket list.

What do you want to do with it? You one of those freaky snake dancing church folks from Appalachia? Go to the zoo. You can get real close to the glass. Kid got bit bad by one at the SLP county park a couple few years ago. Bit him right out of the rocks near the parking lot.

Sand dunes around the pass. Look under or around drift wood or old wood around the dunes. Early morning or late late afternoon. Night time is also good but handling them is a little more dangerous. I use to drive around a lot of the back roads in Port Lavaca looking for them and did pretty well late night on some of the back roads along Alamo Beach. Found some real good ones but had some close calls handling them in the dark. I was around 16 at that time. Good luck and post some pics. I love Rattlesnakes. They are my favorite snakke.

Put that one towards the end of the list or you wont get the rest done before you kick it.

Had a couple in the dunes at a very public spot near Jamaica Beach couple weeks ago. I would go barefoot in the little island marsh area around Sunset Cove. Back in the canals where that foot bridge crosses the water...all that is full of 'em.

I'm not from your area of Texas but I haven't seen any swarming this year because of the drought. Even the cottonmouth snakes seem to be retarded this year - one of the few snakes I actually fear. I might be way off but snakes seem way down this year. Maybe in the fall they'll be more active, especially if it rains next month I reckon. I ain't even seen a rat snake around my house!

something about what and dumb *** came into my mind. Try the rattle snake round up if you are in the mood for that sort of stuff. Last thing I wanna see fishing is one of those, and a 'gater.
