Thanks for everyone who replied. It really means a lot to me.
I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!

Sorry for your loss. I have been through a couple and it is equivalent to losing your best friend, which unfortunatelyhas happened twice as well. It is nice that you and your mother were able to spend the last moments with your dog before the passing.

Our "Bear" is a member of our family, my daughter (5) refers to him as her brother. We would be devastated if we lost him.

Thanks for bringing up the turned stomach issue. I forgot about that since seeing Marley but I am going to research it a bit more.

Tough go for you Uber. Any loss is always very sad. Just think of all the nice memories and that may help over time.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I'm sorry for your loss. Pets ARE family, and it's amazing how attached you can get to those animals. Remember the good times ya'll had.

Corgies are cute dogs. Anyone watch Cowboy Bebop?

So sorry for your loss. Yes, it is hard to loose such a good friend. I so hope you find a new furry faced friend that gives you the same joy. Its worth knowing you can love like that and be loved like that.

Man I couldnt even bring myself to read your thread after reading the title I already had that feeling behind my eyes....I hate seeing my old boy turn gray and limp around stoved up sore after hunts. Just a stark reminder that the end isnt that far away. So sorry for your loss brother
