Where are the fishing reports?

I fished the surf a few weeks ago. Put the hurt on them, but honestly right now I'm over fishing. It's too hot to fish for too small of fish and too many buzzards that are out on the water.

It's time to get ready for the great white anyways.

I get like this every year. Too hot outside...my mind turns from the fish to the birds.

Haven't you heard? The really awesome, professional fishermen don't post reports on the internet. In fact, if they get caught posting, they have to forfeit their white frame sunglasses!

working. i usually work every other weekend if it's available. need to pay the bills and have some left over for fishing. probably go fishing saturday. will post. Lord Bless.

I'm fishing with the youngsters tonight at 61st street pier. Wading somewhere in the morning. Will post, fish or no fish, sometime tomorrow. Want to go set up lights somewhere, but thats not gonna happen soon. Hopefully i will be able to before the 15th! Report back to school. Yuck!

caught reds and trout on top water thursday and friday in west bay, then caught some trout and 1 flounder today in trinity. Biggest trout was 3 lbs. Nothing really exciting going on as of late. My friend did say today he caught some solid trout in the surf on topwater.

Caught around 15 trout this morning. Half of them were around 14.8 inches. . Lost one big one due to line breakage. Fishing shad imitations: Blue/black and then Chartreuse. Lost a few as they got close. Interesting bite.

The Mrs. and I fished the lights on the north side of Tiki Island from friday night to saturday morning and found lots of hungry fish. We hit Fatboys right about 10 and bought some shrimp and motored on towards Tiki. Water movement was good but only a few bait thieves until we got towards the end by a set of about 5 underwater lights and it was on. We were getting bites on everycast but were only able to hook about 1 out of every 4-5. Woman did better than I, I'm thinking either due to her having braid to my mono or maybe she's just better. All the ones we hooked were on huge shrimp the get aways were on regular or smallish shrimps. We ended up with a modest sample of sand trout which will be Tacos tonight. We also each caught a rat red and woman got a tiny little spec. She also caught the biggest sand trout I've ever seen but he freed himself from the hook while I was fiddle farting to get him in the boat. The weather was perfect and it was a great night on the water, as soon as the tide went slack the fish lost their appetite and we motored back with me dozing off at the tiller having been up over 24 hours at that point. Good times for us.

I fished Saturday and Sunday...did ok not a lot of trout but some nice 19-23 inch fryers and a few reds...mostly on tops...also mixed in a few flattys on plastics...got a house rented on a canal in Jamaica beach next week going to fish every day!!! No internet access though. I might actually beat Kenny to his spot (everytime I run by at 6:15 on my way to the pass there is some guy wading a reef in the middle of the bay...its gotta be Kenny)! Boat traffic on west has not been to bad lately...I think its to hot for a lot of the causual fisherman!

Hey GHS...the big trout are still biting...caught my personal best about 2 weeks ago at the pass on a bone/ch shepup...between 28 and 29...no pics but I have a witness...weighed about 7lbs on the boga...released to make more trout!

I caught 3 Saturday night off my deck-two were "Louisiana" keepers, so I tossed them back and one at 17"-tossed onto fillet knife. Worked on Robalo and didn't even lower the Skeeter in the lift. Brothers both fished some-very little to show for it.
