Found this old picture not sure if it's been around the forums or not but this guy is either really, really small - it's photoshopped - or this is one huge flounder! Lol.

I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!

Maybe it's just late but I've never seen a flounder get this big before. If anyone has any other pictures of huge flounder post em up!

It could be a halibut. They can get to be hundreds of pounds.

Doesn't look like a halibut.......hard for me to believe a flounder could get that big....I was on the boat with a buddy when he gigged one over 11lbs and this thing dwarfs it.

Lol never crossed my mind that this could not be a flounder - saw it on some forums for catches in Galveston. It was late and just assumed it was a flounder.

The more I think about it the more I think it's a halibut - trying to figure out if those are Eskimos in the background lol.

You never know. Back in the day, I heard you could actually catch snook around here...and the fish were bigger and more plentiful.

Looks like it weighs over 50 lbs, not one of our Southern Flounders.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

It's DINNER! Just fillet and fry it.

i thought had read somewhere that florida and other places in the gulf have a different species of flounder that is very similar to the southern flounder, but gets much larger. With all the darker people around this might be cuba or somewhere around that area.

                    It's a California Halibut.
