  • Invest 90L - likely tropical storm

Another day for more data to be available to seed the computer models, but it looks like a TS is going to be brewing in the Gulf later this week.

Early tracks have the dirty side of it close to Matagorda, but generally centered towards Corpus.

Pretty typical for this month in the hurricane season.
At his baptism, Sam Houston was told his sins were washed away. He reportedly replied, “I pity the fish downstream.” - Nov. 19, 1854 - Independence, Texas

I think tomorrow is the day that it enters the Gulf, the models are rerun, and the Hurricane Hunters fly through it. No bets until then, sire, but I have been watching it at work - thank goodness I'm my own boss!

Whups beer time, gotta go ....

This 40% chance is messin with my plans for the end of this week. Wouldn't bother me at all if it just went away! Can't sail (comfortably) in winds like that.

Seeing as I am just a swab on this rig, the choice is not up to me. At 80% the decision was made this morning not to bring her back this trip. Three more weeks and we will try it again. She is a worthy girl and I have no doubt she could handle whatever the Gulf could throw at us.

AP, the closest this girl could get to Bird Island would be Harborwalk!

What's with all this 40% and 80% stuff?.It's either a yes or no;there are no percentage points.Alright, you guys DRIVE back to Houston with your tail tucked between your legs.I sure would have liked to have seen that big hoss.I guess it's going to take calm seas,huh?.LMAO.You know I'm messin' with you.I still think you guys should bring it back. There are decades of experience between you three, you guys know what your doing.I do understand the situation out in the gulf though.Ya'll be careful coming home, see you when you get back.
