I am sure their ecosystem can support that that state is full of fish, I personally would not keep 25 trout. **** cleaning them and finding room for them in my freezer that is already full of fish. I fished sabine once and we murdered them, I kept maybe 5 from the 17-20 in range.

To be honest I tend to side with scumLORD on this one. I personally wouldn't keep that fish, period. There's a difference between whether or not something's legal and whether or not it's right, and that depends on the individual.Originally posted by scumLORD View PostI am sure their ecosystem can support that that state is full of fish, I personally would not keep 25 trout. **** cleaning them and finding room for them in my freezer that is already full of fish. My philosophy is live and let live. If it ain't hurting me and other people want to do something that's up to them which is why I wouldn't make a big deal out of something like this. But personally, I wouldn't have done it regardless of the ecosystem and just let nature run it's course.
Saying scum has a lack of knowledge on the subject though is a little harsh considering you don't know what he knows and what he doesn't unless you really know him well. This to me seems like it's up to the individual(s) whether they want to keep that many fish - so criticizing someone's opinion is like saying pepsi is better than coke. It really just depends on the person and what they consider "right."
On an off note, it's pretty well known that their ecosystem supports that many trout. Still doesn't really change my opinion, though.
PS - All seriousness aside...DANG that's a lot of fish! Lol!I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!

I think these are the phrases that got everyone "excited".Originally posted by scumLORD View PostThat is just ridiculous..............this is just uncalled for.
Personally, I kept less than ten fish from Texas waters last year. However, the wife and I brought home bags and bags of fish from Louisiana guided trips. Now, why would I do this? My fileting skills suck.
Keep all you can!! Eat all you keep!!!

Anyone who is offended by it is under-educated and has obviously not been fishing in the Sportsman's Paradise. Sorry to be judgemental, but as they say here, Dat's da way it is.From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Nobody in this thread is offended about it. Education has nothing to do with someone's personal decision to keep or not keep that many fish. I think most everyone here is aware that LA can support keeping them all (this isn't news), but a lot of people still wouldn't want to do it. Everyone here is entitled to their own opinion. Good for them!I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!

I wasn't talking about Ph.D.'s I was talking about a practical education in fisheries and what limits they can support. In Louisiana, it's not about how many, but how many BOXES of fish. I'm hitting it Monday, but in an area I've never fished before. Hopefully I'll have some offensive pics for y'all soon.
That said, here's a funny pic fa ya mom'n'em.
