I am looking at purchasing a 570 DI Down Imaging Sonar and was wondering if anyone has one or another Hummingbird product with down imaging and their experience/opinion/comments/advise.

I guess no one has a Hummingbird. Maybe try on 2****. That down & side imaging does look neat. We mostly all use Garmin or Lorance."GET OFF MY REEF!" -

It sure looks nice on hummingbird.com. From what I am reading it is side imaging sonar turned to look down. Nice sharp picture. I cannot answer your question thow.
Have you been to a store to see a Live demo???

I have had two; on two different boats and liked them both. The first one had the side imaging and it was the best, I would use the side imaging a lot just driving around in new areas. The second one I did not get the SI, on my second boat I went with a much larger screen. I wish I would have spent the extra cash and got the si. Breakwater installed it and can do software updates as needed.
