Great Day with Ibtsoom

Got an invite from Ibtsoom yesterday to join him on his boat yesterday. It was a great time. I've only fished off the bank or surf or on the party boat aka sardine cans before. So it was extremely nice of him to extend an invitation. We headed over to Greens Lake. Within 45 we got into these guys. The one red is 27.5 inches. Thought he was going to spool me. Even if we didn't catch a fish it still would have been a great trip. Being able to fish the back marshes was a lot of fun. It was a day I will never forget. I want to thank you again Mike for inviting me out. You truly are a class act! I think you spoiled me haha.

Reds were from about 21 to 27.5 and the speck was 19.5. Tom was the man of the day -- I caught several fish but he was carrying the big guns for sure. Wasn't holding my mouth right I guess. We seriously thought the big red was going to spool him there for a sec -- it was pretty determined it wasn't getting in the boat. Bite was from about 430 to 630-- after that it slacked off a bit. All fish caught on live shrimp and finger mullet. Forgot my gps so I'm guessing that the water temp was somewhere around 82 like its been sitting back there for a few days now. Great day on the water!!
