Headed to the West End tomorrow early to wade or kayak with the son-in-law. Wife & daughter coming down in the afternoon. Either the surf entrance between GISP & Jamaica, or GISP on the bay side, or SLP. Will all depend on the wind & water. Will be in a red Dodge Magnum with 2 Hobies in tow.

It should, by the looks of the forecast...1-2 ft seas, light winds...believe I'll pack mine as well and try it in the surf! Shrimp pattern or spoon? Whats you throwin?

I'm throwing a shrimp in the marsh. Either a spoon or clouser should work well in the surf.

I'll be fishing for the next 9 days. I fished the weekend of the 4th last year in west bay. Dont believe the hype. Was not that crowded and they leave around 9am anyway.Caught lots of good fish that week.Dont be a nancy get out there and fish. Quit blaming your ol lady for not being able to fish. What you waiting for everyone to quit fishing and ice cream conditions??? That aint gonna happen!! ust giving everyone a hard time. Enjoy the Holiday and everyone have a great weekend!! Tight lines!

Well, the wind is all but gone this morning down here at Bastrop Marina. Sweet...only thing is; I'm headed to work on a callout. The really F'd up part this isn't my week to be on call. Looks like my workin' partner put the screws to me. Wonder if I will get a kiss later?
