Presentation, stealth, and a good initial cast are what catch tailing reds....as to lure, all of the good'uns have already been mentioned...if you aint got any of those just bounce what ya got by in front of them. When they are tailing they are feeding so more often than not they aint picky. Buddy of mine cleaned one the other day and noticed a hard lump in its stomach and decided to investigate further. Found about a 3in piece or sliver of goodyear tire in there mmmm kevlar belted all-terrains tasty

Hogie Root beer/Chart major minnow with a 1/16 to a 1/8 oz leadhead... If they are tailing the grass line throw it in the grass and pull it to them... Once it drops off into the water it is usualy all she wrote... The next big thing in the redfish's life is my fillet knife running down it's back bone... LOL Good Times Fo'Sho'

this weekend I saw a group of reds on the surface over a patch of grass. these reds had to be 30"+. Probably around 10 of them. They wanted nothing to do with anything we tossed at them. I finally got pissed and tossed right in the middle of the school and still couldn't get a bite. They didn't spook off till I walked about 20' from them. lol. stupid fish.
