  • how long has it been???

my son told me he wanted some mini raviolis for lunch, so out of the can and into the micro for 45 secs. he ate less than half of em, so me not wanting to be wasteful, finished them off. it has been a long time since i has me some chef-boy-r-dee!!!! at first bite i was reminded what my childhood buffet was mainly comprised of. think im gonna have to bring some along on the next all nighter fishing trip!

so when was the last time any of you guys ate some of the chef's masterpieces?

I keep a couple of cans in the truck to stave off hunger when I'm on the coast surf fishing.
An hour on the dash and it's piping hot.
As a kid, CB Spaghetti & Meatballs was the first camping food I ever ate.
Back in January Kroger had that buy 10 get $5 off,......I bought a flat of them. Came out at 38 cents a can.
They are an acquired taste,....has to be imprinted at an early age. My son who's never had them, thinks they're nasty.

Good for hurricanes and survival stores, and ten times better than Dinty Moore.

I had a flashback on them canned shoestring taters recently and French's onion crisps. Dang, not bad!

Good ole Chef Boy-R-Dee. Now that's a blast from the past.

                            In more ways than one!

Dinty Moore is some rank stuff....but so is a plain can of bean dip when your 17, stuck on a deserted road on a Sunday night, coming home from a day of skiing on the Aransas River with 3 of your party buddies and one of their sisters....and all you got is that, one Gatorade, a couple of of Schlitz and a bag of....well lets just say we all wanted that one can, and then there was the argument on who got to sleep next to the sister! Man...what memories!
