I think it was a few years ago that a tourney was won using crank baits for redfish.
    Today is a new day!!

Yes , any lure can work just like in the bay . Depends on what turns out to be what they like the best after experimenting .

The fatter lipped models will stay off the rocks better. ... but not always.

Yeah I saw it only flats class like two or three years ago I have tried it with rattle traps and caught reds on it and also used a sexy shad with the same result. Me and C.A. from flats class talked back and forth and I could never get him to tell me wat rocks he was fishing around!

I have heard gulp shrimp rigged with a weedless worm hook is deadly for reds at the rocks. Carolina or Texas rigged. A spoon will supply you with a years worth of catching at the rocks right now when it comes to smacks

I like them for trolling with the yak right on the edge. If you have to stop for some reason, they float up and won't snag.

Unfortunately all I've caught was a cow-nose ray and a big 'ol jack, but then again, I only tried once

I like the mann's tide waker crankbaits but the only rocks I fish are down in baffin.
