  • Budlight bay 6/3-6/5

GHS,XtremeAngler, Ghs's bro and a buddy and I hit up Budlight bay friday at daylight. Ended up with (From what i remember)...10 trout to 23"? and 5 reds. Of course I had another shark encounter. Starting to get used to it actually. (GHS actually beat one off his stringer that evening himself.)Sat. GHS and I went solo. We fished out in the water and caught 8 trout and 3 reds...my first being my second best trout at 27 1/4 @ 6 1/4 pounds and released, with one little surprise kicker fish later that morning. GHS and I hit the water in the evening after a good much needed nap and fished some birds with not much to show...fished a color change and second cast GHS hooked into something big...After 30 minutes and me downing 2 beers during the wait...he landed a 10 pound jack. We picked up two more buddies before dark and caught a few more trout and a few reds. After hitting up JT's place for a few beers. We met a few other people that night....got two hours of sleep and the rest is history...tried the surf the next morning with 2 new fellow fisherman and had minimal luck so hit the bay...but we didn't exactly fish...off the water at 12....It was a nice weekend to be out with the tubers and jetski's again. Only had a total of 4 boat operators cut off our wades this weekend so it wasn't too bad....(One of our buddies had a run in with the west bay crabber...aka....Rocky...that fellow is serious about his crabs!....We had good conversation with him!!!...Weekend total....46 trout.8 reds, 1 hardhead, 1 jack, 1 ling, 2 cases of budlight, 1 18 pack of bud light, 1 12 pack of budlight, 2 cases of miller, one half bottle of grey goose vodka, 1 1/2 bottles of Gibson's canadian whiskey, and half a bottle of Jim Beam black.....Tight lines fellas!

I really enjoyed that report! Sounds like y'all had a helluva time. LING??????? Cool! Beat a shark off his stringer. I think if I got in a fight with GHS I would just act like the French and surrender before it got serious.

I can't remember most of the weekend for some strange reason....

Looks like the Sea Isle bar is the latest destination spot for Bachlorette parties.

Going this afternoon. I'll stay down there until Friday or so then I'll let all the buzzards have it. I had to take a breather from this past weekend.
