Jamaica Beach PD are the proud owners of a new ATV and when not hassling people enjoying the beach, are riding around town with a loud speaker and search light harassing people in their yards.
I call 'em "three pigs and a mule".

i get so tired of that crap. galveston is the worse.

nobody wants anybody to have too good of a time...AND if you are an old retired fart (sorry Kenny)...if you live on the canal you OWN the canal; if you live on the beach you OWN the beach; and if you live off the beach between the gulf and bay, people get pizzed off when you run thru their yards and flower beds drunk in your truck.

I dont even want to talk about the crawfish boil. I cleaned up, dressed up and the crawfish was done and out when I got there at 8:00 ish and I even bought a freaking ticket. As far as the ATV, my understanding is that it is supposed to patrol the beach only.

They were great......huge crawfish too! Nate did a very good job on 'em. I ate a little after 6:00 and it was pretty full of folks by 7:00.

They were using the ATV to check out the girls this afternoon. They didn't even have to get their fat azzes out to do it.

I missed the ATV, but those hopped up golf carts are all over the place. Nothing like darting across 3005 with a load of kids and family pets. Yea, I want one

I can not stand the abuse of law enforcement on Galveston ..... it's the reason i will not go to the island.

Heck the only reason yo ucatch me on that island is when I go vist that Pirate on the west end, who will remain nameless ....lol

JT is right, the good ole days of just letting taking it easy without getting harrased has become a thing of the past .....

The problem is there has been such a issue of island trash from the individuals that Ike washed in that never left .....

the ATV is "leased " to the city for 1 dollar a year and is staffed by reserve officers that cost the city nothing
they put in their time on patrol and it gives them "hours " on the job so they can grow up and become real cops
kinda cool for weekends like this but really bullchit cuz it is way too small in JB for that many police officers
JT you can still get drunk and run thru flowerbeds in fact if you want i have a list of them we need to hit!

Hey .... leave my flower beds out of the list, it was hard getting them back into shape after being gone for a month. Choose the yard of the month people. It would be more exciting anyway.

Reserve officers are unfortunately WAY over zealous in trying out all their new found police skills to enrich the city coffers so they can buy more toys. Just because it's free doesn't make it any less annoying.
Wait until the police boat pulls you over!

Yeah, i was at that meeting April 18th. I was the only speaker besides the dude from the Police Report, and I remember them approving an ATV agreement. I just didn't catch with who or the $1.00 part
