I hit Surfside this morning and took a hammering at the new beach there ...still had some fun on some waist to chest dumpers! Drove back towards Galvo and behind the Pass didn't look half bad...actually some decent water channeling through the guts. Be worth a try on the incoming maybe!

It looks like it will start to back off late Wednesday. Thursday should be pretty good!
Bruce, the NOAA guys are saying at least 10-15knots onshore all through the week and early next week. That means no ice cream surf, and probably not even sporty surf.
I checked out the link and hopefully they are right about those variable winds late next week. I just don't know how they can predict that far.

Yeah, the predictions change all the time. But all four of the sites I use (Sailflow, Swellinfo, Windfinder & Impactweather) show it slowing down late next week. Just being hopefull..
Gilly, they put in a alot of sand off Beach Dr where the 2 houses are located STILL on the beach. FEMA did it as the whole beach had washed away. Its just west of the north jetty. Ike really did a number on it. When they first finished it it was one nice beach(well still is), had a kind of red sand and had one real good slope to the water and then drops off almost over the head 25ft out before coming back up on the 1st bar...a fish SUPER Highway is what it feels like when paddling/ swimming through it. Unfortunately...the highwinds and surf are slowly taking the sand back out on the bars at every hightide with this high surf. Still next green to the beach...you're gonna see me walking the beach from the jetty tossing that 51MR in 808 dragging it ever so slowly with a slight twitch just off that drop.....
I've been using this for a couple months and has been pretty reliable on the long range. You can go up and change it to Meacoms for Galvo and it even looks better for next weekend.
