Auto title transfer

Bought an old land cruiser with no current registration. Need to get title transferred as well as new registration.

Are there alternate addresses to go besides downtown?

FWIW.... My drivers license address is in Dallas... does that mean I have to go to Dallas?

Thanks for the link... The license is what im concerned about as well. I pay prop taxes in Dallas (rental) but live down here in Galveston but don't know how long cause im at a rental apt so im not gonna change my license every time I move. Any/all help appreciated. Thanks Reef Drifter

The DPS Office in galveston never has a line-I use it for renewals.

Sfef: Remember now, the registration renewals will go to whatever address you use (which likely is the same as your TDL)-and watch out for that question: "Is this your correct/current address?"-could land you a ticky depending on your answer.

So it is possible to renew/update reg/title at any TaxAC office in texas regardless of your actual address?

No, I think just TDLs, not auto registration.
