            Very odd indeed!

The lights are flashing all down the island and transformers are blowing. I'm waiting for the big one that shuts us down.

Im looking at the power poles outside my place and all i see are sparks wherever the lines touch the poles...

Maybe i wasnt clear... all underwater lights in laffites cove turned off at the same time while there was no intermitent power loss to the houses. Thats what was weird. Why would juat the lights turn off and not the houses all along the canal?

                    Yup, dat's true!

Maybet was a slight power loss that was enough to effect the starter or ballast in the green lights but not enough to make the incandescences flash.

The lights here at SLP went off about an hour ago and are still off.

The street lights were doing the same thing last night as those canal lights were. I dont give a sheeeet tho, im bout to go get on a plane and will be on the strip by noon!

The salt accumulates on the insulators of transmission lines, the dry air causes this and causes a ground fault. All the canal lights went off at the same time because they should be on a ground fault plug or breaker. All of them tripped at the same time because of the fault. It got so bad (the accumulation of salt because of the wind)power has been on and off part of the day.
