Have a friend that has a nice cabin in Chocolate on a spoils island by the old windmill. He don't even fish! When I go out there I always fish. You are right about the topwater bite...nothin gets the heart beatin like that! I don't have a bay boat anymore but can use my brothers when I want, he lives in Alvin. Were you fishin up in Chocolate or New Bayou?I was raised by an old Cowboy, therefore I am.

Man that is so lucky. Those old cabins with docks out over the water are the mack daddy - they attract fish like a magnet. I never thought fish would hit topwaters at night but I was WRONG. It was almost embarrassing, catching a limit in like an hour and going well NOW what are gonna do, go crabbing or something? A lot of the guys wanted to sight-cast fat reds, which was fine with me for a coupla hours. But I sure liked that night fishing, especially if the big white shrimp was running. Mmm, cook up some bacon for breakfast and dredge some trout fillets in corn meal and cook her down just golden, Breakfast of Champions.Originally posted by mstrelectricman View PostHave a friend that has a nice cabin ...

Hey Sammie, this guys cabin is tha bomb! Have two real quiet honda genys and a/c that will allow you to hang meat, dish tv, badazz kitchen, shower, you name it. I haven't tried the night lights there but way back then that's about the only kind a fishin I ever did. The op of this thread is a good guy and he knows Chocolate real well. When it comes to night time under the lights though there are lots of places around that I would go to before Choc. I don't ever get down to where you live but if you are ever up here give me a call. You are one of the good guys from what I've read over the last few years on another forum. I hope I'm not considered h/jin the op's thread by sayin this on his thread, but I just talked with him on the phone and don't think he will mind. Peace and groovy fishin to ya!I was raised by an old Cowboy, therefore I am.
