  • Saturday evening thru Sunday morning

If the wife will give me a hall pass..................

I am wanting to head down to the beach saturday afternoon & stay till sunday. Prolly just sleep in my Jeep. I may have to bring my two daughters in order to seal the deal. Any one else game? Dont quite know where I want to go yet. Dont think I really want to drive all the way to Sargent or Crystal beach.

Where is a good spot on Galveston where you can drive & camp on the beach (and no thugs!!)? If all else fails I may have to hit Sargent or Crystal beach.

Hey Shawn i was thinking about doing that with my kids but not sure yet we are going to go camping but i here and saw the wind has picked up.The GISP on the island is the best place but you pay.We thought about going to Crystal Beach i got a place to camp close to the beach there on some friends property but he's not answering the phone.

Yea its showing 10 - 20 mph all weekend. I dont have a problem going to crystal beach. However, since I wouldnt be leaving till around 4pm, im sure the ferry line would be outrageous. I have never drove on the beach at SLP, how bad is it. At this point that might be my best bet. I just hate driving an hour to Galveston then another 30-45min+ to get to an unrestricted beach.

The line will be redickuless to say the least.I thought about going reel early Saturday morning but this week has wore me out...lol
If you got 4x4 your good.If afraid there will be more yahoo's on SLP than high island but what do i know.

Im leaning more & more towords the "surfside", side of SLP. Maybe a mile or so down. Any thoughts? Are there better spots than others down there? I have only been once for the Meet & greet @ Sams Beach.

That's cool down there for the most part the beach is accessable down that way.I like high island because it gets deeper quicker in the surf.

I mainly want to chill out on a hospitable stretch of beach with my friend Jack Daniels, possibly my kidos, & hook up to some fat fish. BTW - I still have not cleared any of this with the BOSS. I am stopping to P/U some flowers on the way home!!!

Anywhere between access 5 and 6 you can usually find a good spot. There were a bunch of yahoos last weekend piling up the Christmas trees for a bon fire.

"Gee, I wonder why someone left all these Christmas trees on the beach? Let's pull them up from their stakes and burn them."

Ya can't fix stupid and classless.
