    FYI, the old Chevy 327s were better IMO than the new 327s which began production in 2004 models. But I am confused. Coe, you said yours was a '79? Chevy stopped making the legendary 327 in 1969 in favor of the 350.

    I will be out this weekend trying to better my "Big Ugly" entry, plus maybe a red or two for the grill. We will probably spend most of our time at the "Big Rock Parking Lot".

    Nope... 99+ chevy is like a 328 right?

    I used a 79 327 V8. I could be cruising in 2nd and throw it into first have do a wheelie for about 30 yards only did that once because I had bad axle wrap and moved the axle up 6" off the spring perch lol

    Yes sir! I have an 86' that's a project for my son. When I brought it home it was running since then it looks like the frame threw up all over the place. There's parts and pieces all over. Hopefully, this weekend I'll get the time to take more of it apart so I can get down to doing some tub repair.
