Got back home to Ark. last night - 42 deg and rain. I want to give public thanks to Ray for the invitation and all the effort to take me fishing - and to Rick for saving the day! It was the good (my first ever spec; made the best fish tacos ever!), the bad (Ray's motor (
) and the beautiful (the Bay). It was pretty obvious that these 2 guys know what they are doing and it was a real treat to be able to tag along.
I did manage later that week to catch a *lot* of small reds wading at GISP. 15 in reds cast after cast on light spinning gear is about as much fun as I can take. I would not have had a clue what to do if I hadn't been out w/ Ray first so he gets an assist on that!
Soo...If *any* of you - esp Ray, and you too Rick as long as you don't bring your crazy girlfriend ;0) - would like to try your hand at flyfishing for trout (rainbow, brown and cutthroat variety) or stream fishing for smallmouth bass up here in Ark, please give me a shout. You will *not* catch 5 - 10 lb fish, but you most likely *will* have a quality fishing experience.
Best of fishing etc. to you all!
