thanks everyone, I feel we were very fortunate to finish as high as we did. Some of the teams, like Aqua Pimp/ DPOP and Hogie/Mell Wader caught 40 trout that day and lost some good ones that would of put them above us. We only had nine bites and six fish for the day. When we left Saturday morning, we weren't even sure where we were going, West Galveston Bay or East Matagorda. I had been pre-fishing in EMB, but the wind had been blowing 15+ and the area we wanted to fish was dirty, maybe 2" of visibility, but I did lose a big fish in there on Friday. Aaron and I discussed if the wind would lay a bit Friday night, EMB might clean up enough to fish, otherwise we're heading to Galveston. Saturday morning as we were heading down the road and getting near the intersection where left we go to Galveston, straight we go to Sargent, I asked Aaron "where do you think we should go?" He said he didn't know. I said "the wind is less than 10 mph, lets go to Sargent." Not much of a fishing strategy, but when we got down there the water had clean up a bit, maybe 5" visibility, which is all you really need for big trout. We knew our day would be a grind, but not as much as it turned out. At one o'clock we didn't have a fish in the box, but between one and two, Aaron popped three good ones on plum worms. If you don't know Aaron, he's a master with bass assassins. I'm sure glad I brought him along. ........ Anyways we're looking forward to the next Specktacular tournament which will be a two day event on April 16 & 17. Shoud be a big party there Sunday afternoon and we would like to thank Capt. Lynn Waddell for putting on a great tournament series.
