  • The Red Winged Black Birds

The first showed this past weekend and I am very happy to have them back, along with the Purple Martins. The RWBB have such a soothing warble. I am sitting here in my recliner and I'm looking at one out the kitchen window, 5 on the dock, and one out the living room window. I'm surrounded by them and their song is sweet indeed. I look forward to their arrival every year. There's something about their song that takes me back to when I was a kid in Bayou Cook.
From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

If they're Grackles, shoot em!! You Cajuns love Redwings-old Putu at Little Pecan told me he uses them for alligator bait because chicken was costly!! He also said they aint that bad in a gumbo-I stopped him at that comment-gotta taste like bugs.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
