One story comes to mind there i was drunker than cooter brown talking to this guy and he passes out drunk into the fire and falls in to it and rolls out stone cold passed out and never wakes up until i wast good cold beer bye pouring it on him.Skeered me sheetless.......one of many more campfire true tales.The dude wasn't burn ed reel bad but soon passed out again the next morning he was a sight for sore eyes.

Robalo's on it........ I think it's a very old shared human memory from our past. I also think that all the outdoor kitchens, fire rings, and chimineas being bought is the reaction or result of our technological world which has separated modern man from nature.
