Don't overlook Alazan bay this time of year if the wind is 20-30 mph thats a good place to get out of the southeast or south wind,down in a couple of miles a lot of grass and sand pockets, 2 years ago in march on spring break i caught 1 over 8 lbs and saw 1 over 10lbs that missed my topwater from back in there...not a lot of boat traffic either.Good luck

Yeah Alazan can kick butt this time of year...North to 30 then dying off late. Gonna be iffy now if I even go, but somehow I see myself rolling down the driveway at 0200 for that 4 hour trip to Bird Island! : )
