Well the the time has come to have my left wrist surgerically repaired. It seems 35 years of working arties in the bays have completely destroyed my left wrist. I have been in extreame pain while fishing for more than 8 months, I wanted to hold off till after big trout season, but I can't even hold a rod to work a bait at the present time. I've had 2 cortisone shots the last 2 months and they helped for a couple of weeks then it was back to the same with no improvement. My Orthopedic sports surgeon says he can fix it so I'll be able to keep fishing...hopefully he's right. I should be on the water in a month or so maybe longer depending on recovery. I won't be coming back to soon, I surely never want this pain again, so I'm sitting it out for as long as it takes. My surgery will be this Friday the 18th. Gettem while you can boy's and girls cause I'm going to be putting a whooping on them after my wrist is fixed.I have never in my life not been able to fish for more than a week or so. The withdrawl from this will most likely kill me...

Best to you and hope/know it will go well. Just don't use Dr. Brown-he may treat you the same way he treats his family!!

I will leave you a big trout tied up in 3' of water along the north shore for when you get back! (yeah, sure-I wish!).
Just be assured that we will be following you the day after you start to fish!!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Yes,that was me...not much in the way of fish, kinda slow day for me. I marked around 25-30 new spots while the water was so low,so it was very productive as far as scouting goes. I'm dialing in my summer spots to the foot. That way when I come in there in the dark I'm in the kitchen of the trouphy hangout spot.Originally posted by reeltime View PostGood luck and here's to a speedy recover Rick. Was that you in your marshall sunday in the ICW Heading to the Ocean C?

Best of luck to you with the surgery. It gets to a point that you've gotta get it fixed. Get well soon and don't jump the gun if you want it to be right long term. Listen to the docs. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

leaving the Marshall to me? I know what spots to take her to when she is feeling down and out. You will be ready for our summer spot by the time you recover. I think we have a chance this year when the surf turns on. BTW I gotta us a trip lined up to my deer lease in early April. We will go down south and hang out!!Bacon Bacon Bacon!!!
