I got a invite from GreenTide to hit WestBay yesterday and i was like don't twist my arm.lol
I was glad he didn't want to get on the water at 6am because it was still cold and with both agreed a later start was the ticket with the ice spell this week.We hit the water about 9ish and the first spot was a boat ride with the water temp about 41deg
.So we drift with no luck but the fish were there but not biting or moving.The next spot was paydirt and we(David) had made a mental note because of the feeding bird's.It didn't give up the fish right away with corky's but once we found it was on from about 11to12ish or 1.I found them of course
.The corky's were low and slowww..twitch pause and bamm.They kinda felt like log's with some action.I missed some big trout's i had hooked that was peeling some drag like 27 plus red's.I fought 2 like that! Dave got on the score board with two solid fish and not long after that your's truly hooked something that wanted my stolen corky bad.Thanks Mike.So i made a feeble attempt with trolling motor to FAIL and most likely scared the fish away.That water was the coldest i have ever waded in bar none.We hit three or four more spot's with not any luck and didn't see any dead bait or game fish any we covered west bay with the quickness in David's BAFMachine
