Sorry to hear about your cat. We lost three cats in the last two years, two of them were 15 years old and one was 14 years old. We were resigned to have a life without cats since we had had the previous ones for so long but last week a small black female cat adopted us. What a pain in the butt to get a new cat box, new cat toys and stock up on cat food but we are enjoying our new cat very much. Our dog is still afraid of it. It hasn't named itself yet but it will.

Sandy, another cat will find you, even if you don't go looking, one will come around.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

Thanks again y'all. I'm still havin' a hard time with this. Probably sounds silly, but he was my family here in Texas.

Anyone that has animals and has lost animals understands where you are at and what you are going through. They are just like kids to us and truely are a part of the family. Take care!!!!!!

Sorry to hear your loss. Unfortunately, only after losing "little buddies" through the years are we reminded how much joy a pet can bring to the life of yourself, friends and family.

I don't know when you are planning on finding a new buddy (I'd say "if" but I would doubt we pet lovers could ever NOT have an animal in our life) but there are three little kittens that must be abandoned that I see around my apartment complex that you could adopt, if you could catch them, (tried to no success)

Heres a pic of one of em (there were 3 before I scared two off) huddling around a lower unit of a parked boat.

OMG, it's going to be hugely cold here in the next day. Could you please contact the SPCA to see if they could do something about that.

Well, my vet called and said they had a little black cat there that needed me, so I went and picked her up. I always said I'd get a dog when Albert left me, but this is easier for me right now. I'm just trying it out and so far it's going ok. She's a wimpy little thing, pretty much the anti-Albert. When I get some dough together, I'll get my fence fixed and pick out a mutt.

sfef, small bites is right. Try to get those kittens some help.

I know, I know.... they are not there consistently. When they run away, some go through the fence dividing apartment complexes and the others haul tail to the open bayou.

The pic was taken 2 days ago. While it would be nice to get em in a shelter, i feel they must be hearty enough to have survived the past cold front, the hawks and snakes thus far.. sounds like they have Albert's hutzpa. Ill keep on em though!
