Yes, we all have seen and some have fished with the DOA Shrimp.....but how many have them in your tackle box?

What about their other lures ?

    Like the :
    • Big Fish Lure ... aka: BFL
    • DOA Bait Buster
    • D.O.A. TerrorEyz
    • D.O.A. Swimming Mullet
    • D.O.A. Tough Guy

Did you know that the 1st two listed, some would consider as a must for big trout?

I was reading an article in the Chronicle from fisherman and blogger Dano Wise about must haves when fishing for big Specs....and I was like WTF ?? are those.....so I shot of to FTU, to drop a few bills and now I got them for this upcoming spring.....

Maybe you need to go to the tackle shop?

I have just used the DOA shrimp, mainly in North Carolina. It seemed to work well there for the few specks they had, but I havent done well with it here in Texas. I looked at the mullet and terroreyze and wasnt very impressed so didnt buy them.

I have a few doa shrimp in the natural color. I throw a few in my wade box sometimes but hardly ever use them. The Big F***** Lure is just ridiculous lol. I don't know how well I would be able to cast that thing with a medium light trout rod.

I like the DOA Shrimp. I've caught a good amount of trout in the lights on it. It has a pretty realistic action and sink rate. I don't use it when I'm covering water because I can fish a gulp on a jighead alot quicker though.

I bought a couple of DOA Bait Busters, they do look good. Where would you use a Bait Buster? Summer time in the surf? Winter time in the bays?

I like using the shrimp under a mauler. Plenty of luck with that combo all up and down the coast. I have also just tossed them out with no mauler in deep water and done good.

The bait buster is also a good one. I like tossing that one out on an out going tide in the mouths of back lakes draining. I have caught plenty doing that.

I have only bought one tough guy. I used it at the jetties and was catching reds and trout on it but I hooked a spanish mack and like popped. Never bought another one. Don't know why.

I haven't tried any of the others. I do always keep the shrimps in my tackle bag at all times. They are easy to fish so when I take the wife or kids, thats what they throw.

I use mine all year round in the bays if water is moving with a good rate but I have never tried it in the surf.

DOA Scrimps under a cork is my troutfinder rig. I don't use them much here, because I rarely target trout. When I'm with my dad, we must target trout. He's a trout man.

I've used them under birds, or under a mauler working potholes in grass beds down South, and under the lights. I like the 1/2 oz up in Trinity when the birds are out in the middle, and have caught some very nice healthy trout.
