I havent hit west in awhile. And i know the yellow cabins got hit pretty hard during hurricane. But do you know if they have plans to re open? Or will they let us camp out there?

I tried to call those people for over a year following Ike. I left over a dozen messages and they never returned my call. Their website is still up though.

Well, I didn't know them, but I wanted to get to know them. Their canal comes out right where a camp was that we had to remove. It sure would have been easier to bring everything up the canal to offload it, rather than have to go all the way to the KOA to do so. Took us over a year to bust it up and haul it out. Would have taken a lot less if they'd have answered the phone or called back. I would have paid for the use of the canal too. They missed out and we all had to endure a much more difficult task. I'm pretty bitter that they couldn't pick up the darn phone and at least call me back. They might say they're hurting, but they're too lazy to do anything that might benefit their situation.

Well propbably have no idea about your haul but woulda/coulda helped. funny how those darn cabins still stand...if you fart in the wrong direction in one of those it would sway...lol...im going to make a run down to the area in 2 weeks i have plenty of spots to fish just bit further to paddle...
