    Hi Everyone,
I would like to say hello to everyone. My name is Mike and I'm from (today) fridgid Massachusetts. I fish mainly the salt for stripers and blues, mostly flyfishing, but do some plugging in the Cape Cod Canal as well. Most of my fishing is either from shore or from my Key West 17 CC. My wife and I are plannining a trip to the Galveston area in March/ April on our way out to tour the west coast in our motorhome and thought I could get some local knowledge for fishing your area. Any advice would be appreciated. Looking forward to communicating with any of you.

I plan on spending about 5 days in the area. Just looked at Galveston Island State Park as an area to set up camp. Looks good. Also it looks like it may be close to areas accessible to wading for fishing. What species can I expect to encounter lat March. early April??
                      Thanks

Late March and early April will be right about the time our topwater action will be heating up real good. I will be spending my time chasing Trout in the coves still but slowly moving down towards the San Luis Pass. Let us know when you head down this away. I will personaly give you a tour of West Bay and put you on some Texas Trout compliments of Fishwestend and me.

send me a pm or post up when your about to make your Texas trip. I will see if I can get Coe (FWE founder) to come along.
