Hey everyone. I just moved to fulshear tx (west of katy). I was wondering if anyone knew of any alternatives to galveston. that will be like a 3 hr drive from where i live now and for that much i might as well try to head south for better water.
oh, and im landlocked. so any other places besides galveston would be great!

Freeport, Matagorda, Palcios, Port Lavaca/Port O'Connor. Not sure if they are any closer, but they are south west of you headed down the coast, al great places to fish. Hope it works out good for you.

go to matagorda beach turn left on beach go down 3 to 19 miles find a road through the dunes you will in up on the southshore line of east matagorda bay and some of the best wadefishing around. forgot to mention 4x4 mandatory.

Hey W G, I lived in Fulshear for 15 yrs. Now I live 10 miles west of there for the time being. If your new to this area and want to know some back roads to Surfside (I can be there in 1hr 45min) or Matagorta, PM me.

If your into catchin some catfish, not far from you, I can show you where I get my fix when I'm unable to make it to the bay. Ran a trotline there 2 weeks ago, had 12 cats up to bout 9lbs.

Watch the speed limits around and on the way out of town, they've gotten real good on pulling you over.
