  • Hello all!

Hello everyone. I'm in the Austin area but grew up in North Shore and fishing in Galveston. Me and some of my buddies will be heading to fish west bay June 3-5th and have a rental house just north of Ganges Bayou. From the home owners accounts we should catch the big 3 and live shrimp is our best bet to get em to eat a hook. We'll be on the pier day and night hoping to fill a stringer. Any pointers would be great and we'll wave as you drive by. Good fishing everyone!

                  WELCOME !
If you are using shrimp you ought to catch some fish , not all the right kind . The night fishing with lights may be the most productive . You can use some Gulps bait if you are laying down too much money on shrimp . An incoming tide may be your most productive tide .

Sounds like you may be on Sportsman Road . If so , you are fishing the edge of a deep gut that is productive with a incoming and outgoing tide . You ought to have a blast .

Forget the pier during the daytime hours and Wade the flats in that area with topwaters early and late. Good luck

Sounds great. Thanks for the info. Really looking forward to wetting a line. Looks like the rain is going to attempt to dampen our spirits but hopefully not the bite.
