Probably so. But then again, I'd eat a gafftop after marching 2 weeks in 1950's Indochina. I'm actually reading Devil's Guard again, right now. "It was a night of the bayonets" might be the most hauntingly awesome line I have ever read.

Just got finished Forgotten Soldier and Devils Guard. Those Germans were some kinda tuff and Sajer was 1/2 French but only 17 years old!!. I enjoyed both and highly recommend reading them. Forgotten Soldier was kinda slow at 1st but kept building and building until the end.
Made me realize how much I hate wars and how all our war vets deserve respect and honor.

I will get "The Forgotten Soldier." I had to put myself on a book allowance a few years ago ( I read a lot), so I'll be getting it in a few days. I'll start a new thread on it when I get finished with Sajer's book.

....Welcome to the site friend! Don't listen to those that will tell you that "The ONLY way to fish is with artificials" or those that on some other sites might severely chastise you for being a "Croaker Soaker"!
We are all on the water...as nasty as it is color wise in this locale...to catch fish and just have the opportunity to be on the water. Since you are new to the area I am sure that you will get some good advice from the members here as far as where to go to target the fish you are after to place in either the smoker or the frying pan.
