      There is one particular fish that is easy to catch and makes PERFECT crab bait. Hardheads. They're oily and crabs LOVE them. Hardhead+catsfish flipper+machete=dozens of crabs. Enjoy.

        We use chicken parts - the grocery store up town here puts 10lb bags of legs and thighs on sale all the time for .29 a lb. Thats a big bag of bait for 3 bucks.

            I'm probably being an outlaw, but we put whatever is leftover from the filet table in the traps. Since there is an occasional red or spec in the mix, maybe I'm guilty of "using game fish as bait" or something, but I don't feel guilty for doing it if it is wrong.
