  • New to Jamaica Beach!

Closed today on a house in Jamaica Beach! We're on the Bob Smith side on a canal. No boat (yet) but I'm dying to get out fishing. The green night fishing light is installed tomorrow!

I'd pay for gas if someone wants to show me around the West Bay. Anyone?

Welcome-I'm there and so are several other folks on here. I'll be outa town this weekend.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I'm your huckleberry. When do you want to go tomorrow?

Take him up on it. He knows the bay as good as anyone out there.

I learned it from Walkin' Jack.

Walking Jack ... Cool moniker . Better than my " bare stringer Doc " . I googled huckleberry . It started with the American colonists in the 1600's and went through several meaning changes ...at one point it meant small and of little significance . That's why Mark Twain used it for the name of Huckleberry Finn to contrast him to the more dominant character of Tom Sawyer . But in our Tombstone movie era of the late 1800's , it meant " I'm the man for the described job or endeavor " , coming from an earlier connotation of a cowboy's partner or pal . I thought it was interesting .
