I grew up north of Houston and went fishing around Galveston a good bit. I've been bouncing around out of state with school and now work but I like to fish whenever I'm back in town visiting my parents. Found the site by looking for tips and places for winter fishing, because I've only ever been in the summer. Heard of a place at the end of Texas City Dike Road and by Fort Point that I'll probably try here in about two weeks.
I took a charter out with Capt Mike Williams several years ago, figured there's a good chance someone here knows him. He did really well for us and I got a 48" bull red, my biggest red ever.
I'll probably give Galveston a try over Christmas break and I'll be sure to post up my report.
