Hello everyone, I am from Lake Charles, La and fish Big Lake pretty regular, my parents live near Galveston so I like to fish the bay when we go for a visit . Definitely not a pro so don't look to me for advice. I'm really interested in artificial but I just don't know where to start, will be studying this forum to pick up any tips. Thanks for allowing me to join!

Welcome !! A good place to start if you haven't already is to purchase a hook and line fishing map of the bay you want to fish .

Welcome. If u fish for bass with arties, you're 75% there. It's just a different rhythm and set up. Watch the people around u. Someone is catching fish. Look at what they are using and how they use it. That is what I did, and it helped a lot. If u watch u-tube videos, some are misleading and others show the right way. After learning, u can tell who knows and who doesn't. Ask if u can go with some of the people here. They can show u different ways to fish. After learning, you can add your own style. Different, but modified to u. Sharpen your hooks. It will increase your hook ups by 80%. Hope this helps. Lord Bless.
