Hello From a New Member

Hello All,

I just found this site about 10 minutes ago and thought how perfect since I wanted to learn more about fishing West Galveston Bay. I have a house in Bay Harbor on the west end of the Island. I typically fish Bastrop Bay due to only having a 17 ft. bass boat to fish from. It is my intention to purchase a new boat at the Houston Boatshow in the 19 ft range this weekend that will allow me to fish in bigger water. I am looking forward to learning WB since Bay Harbor has a boat ramp out to West Galveston Bay and is very convenient.

I'm looking at a NauticStar Nautic Bay 2010. It seems to get very high review from people who own them and I am fairly sure it will do well in Bastrop Bay.

Welcome to FWE and I'm with Chip on this one.Look at Marshall,Tran-Sport or Gulf Coast.All three will handle the chop out inthe bay on the way to shallow water.Chips fishin in 4ft water to ankle deep.
