They stay on the hook better than liver.

Dont laugh, if you going fish a farm tank dont waste your time with a rod and reel or lures. All you gonna need is a cane pole, a hook and red bubble cork and a can of sweet corn. Beleieve me.

I'm with Stroop and others. Plastic lizards, spinner baits, road runners with curly tails, worms, shrimp, top water, plastics that look like minnows or lizards on a 3/0 or 4/0 worm hook with no weight since you're fishing a pond. Bullet weight 1/8 or 1/4oz to get it out further. Fished freshwater for over 40yrs. If there's catfish, a good cheese bait will work great. Ask what the guides are using. You can ask around here where you have bait camps. Use a size 10 triple hook. You don't need a lot, just enough to cover the hook. Sounds like a small hook, but it'll pull in 10lb cats and 40lb carp. If you get it on your hands, wash with Colgate toothpaste. It will take the smell off your hands. hope this helps. Lord Bless.
