i just wanted to take a few minutes to talk with you offshore guy's as well as you tarpon hunter's, i have a offshore composite series of rods that goes up to 8ft, they are very light weight with a blend of graphite and glass mixed ,this mixture gives you strength as well as light weight, i have built several just recently for tarpon fishermen all over the coast, the most recent for a fellow in atlantic beach fla as well as for a gentman in south africa, he was totally impressed with his spiral and jumped 77 tarpon in 2 day's of fishing from a dugout in some river leading into the coast there, he then loaded up and went out for 2 days of tuna top water poping, now this same rod i will be building for a fellow for snapper and grouper fishing out from the st mark's region.
the rods all carry a full set of ring lock titanium guides, now the ring locks have a hood to help prevent ring loss by dropping a lip around the guide, the foot of the guides are shaped in such a manner that you get xtra strenghth with less foot on the guide ,this help's to keep the guides both ligh and less fatigue on the rod combine this with the proper guide placement "a trick" i can explain that prevent's several factors in rod fatigue and loss fish as well as giving you a stronger rod with out added weight.
and this rod can be built at a very reasonable price "no not $500" like most custom rod builders would charge for a rod of this caliber but a price the average joe could swing.
