    Hi guy
    glad you made it over here this is a great bunch of guys for sure.
    I knew you would like the "spiral nightstix" it is a favorite for the guys that fish lights at night , i just cant seem to be able to get the word out well enough to truly do a good job on building, i have so many things to offer and no way to get the word out and very little time left to do it but i do what i can every day.
    It seems the "spiral nightstix" was a hit but it was hot then it just never reely jumped out like i hoped it would.
    But thanks for your help.

    It'll catch on Bro. They just gotta catch ONE fish with it and they'll be hooked too! I don't know if you've read this report or not so here goes;
    05/22/09 Sam's Beach
    Today was a royal hoot in the surf! Muchas Gracias Boomgoon. I started not to get up when the alarm went off at four this morning. I was after all sleeping so well and there was absolutely no noise to be heard outside. Wait! No noise? No noise here means no wind! Rolled my self out of bed and hit the button on the coffeemaker. The gurgling sounds and subsequent aroma was all I needed to insure myself that Jeff wouldn’t be dressing me down as a “no show” today. Fired up the computer while the coffee was brewing but just really couldn’t get into it. I’ll catch up in a bit. I had pretty much packed my stuff yesterday afternoon and Cassaundra (bless her heart) had set a brand new 25’ stringer by my keyboard after I went to bed. Gotta love that! It didn’t take long for me to secure a cup of coffee, give the place one more brief inspection to make sure I had everything and I was out the door. The plan was to meet Jeff in Tiki and ride to the “other” island in his truck. We made short work of loading my gear in his truck and were fixin' to be off to the races when the Tiki police paid us a little visit. Jeff told ‘em sumpin to the effect of having seen the ex mayor poaching other peoples canal lights on the way in and off they went. Still don’t know what was up wit dat LOL. Ole Mastercylinder showed up and followed us to that “other” island and the search for live croaker was on. (Yes, I run with a bunch of potlickers) They got their croaker and we soon found ourselves on final approach to a beach I haven’t fished in years. It was breezy when we arrived and the water looked to be just a little shy of being Yoo Hoo. To add insult to injury, the weekend warriors started stacking up behind us and it began to look like we had missed our window of opportunity to wrestle with some pigs in the surf. Bruce split for places unknown and the big boys decided to go have a look at Sam’s Beach. That turned out to be a good call. Still a tad breezy but the water looked real fishy and green. It didn’t take long for ole Boom to bring a nice fat shouldered sow to hand on live bait. I threw tops, tails and spoons with few if any results at first. The other fella we were fishing with started slamming ‘em on those little holographic swim baits (green) and I soon followed suit. It was “ON” then! What a blast that was. We found ‘em in the gut between the first and second bars. Had to stay pretty much tittie deep on the outside of the second bar to keep from getting smashed by some of those waves. Despite that, the water remained clear and after sunrise you could actually see your feet while standing in hip deep water. The swim bait changed my luck and I began stringing fish when I wasn’t replacing gear that got cut or broke off. Jeff left for a while to get some ice for the fish and we kept chunkin’. That’s when IT happened. I got a solid bite and proceeded to set the hook “HARD”! Unfortunately whatever I set that hook on was a heckuva lot tougher than me. It didn’t budge at first and when it did, my brand new Billystix “Nightstick” was jerked out of my hands and into the surf! BTW, I CAN still dive when needed LOL. It took me what seemed like an eternity to recover that rod and when I did, the fish was still “on”,…………†¦â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦briefl y. Oh well, at least I still have my rod and reel. The guy next to me was laughing so hard I thought he was gonna drop his rig too. The current was ripping down the shoreline and several times I looked back at our vehicles only to realize we had drifted off station quite a bit. It was during one of my treks back up current when I walked behind Jeff to get back in “my spot”. I made it about 25’ past him when he announced that we were right in the middle of the school. “I can smell ‘em,” he tells me. It was about that time that one of the fish on my stringer tail slapped him on the cheek. Yeah Bro, those fish are closer than ya think LOL! Gotta love fishin’ with good friends! Long story, short…we caught a few, lost a few, and turned a few loose to fight again. The waves got bigger and we decided we just weren’t that mad at the trout anymore and headed home. As we left the “other” island we saw the touristas piling in. We were definitely headed in the right direction! Thanks for the invite Jeff. I really enjoyed fishin’ with y’all today. Hope EVERYBODY has a safe and happy holiday weekend. Tight lines, Guy
