Black Viper Spiral Wader Stix
Today, I received a long, white PVC tube from the Postman. I would love to say that I've been patiently waiting, but I've really been as excited as a kid in a candy store. From the moment that I first spoke to Billy, I knew that I would be getting something special. To begin with, this was the 1st Black Viper to be ordered and I could tell that he was ready to build one. He guided me thru the ordering process and asked how I intended to use this rod, cast or spin, boat or wade, braid or mono, lure weights, etc. Then he offered the options, grip type, seat type, grip material, guides, thread colors, designs, decorations, etc. Since I have never owned a custom rod, I wanted him to use his experience to build not only what I think I wanted but even more to build what I needed.
Based upon the initial examination, I think he succeeded. What I am looking at surpasses all my expectations! What a beautiful piece of art! I can't wait to take it to FTU to pick out a reel and then go try it out. I may be a saltwater fisherman in training but I know quality when I see it.
