I have been puzzled by something for quite a few years now and it aplicable to this thread. Can someone here explain why it is that when a top tier team, like the yank-mees, gives a player a ridiculous free-agent contract, that player typically matches his previous years stats and contiunes to play at that level for at least a couple of years. But when the Astros give a big fat free-agent deal to a player, our guys turn into "The Fat Boyz". They coast through spring training and the first part of the season and then wonder they are already 10 games back in May. It's not just Berkman and Lee. This has been going on for years here and it gets old. But hey, I'm an Astros sucker er.... fan until they lay me away.
