Thanks for the kind words and it did well with the reel I had on hand. He wants a black reel to go with it, so I'm looking around now trying to find one. Okuma makes one that looks nice, but I'd hate to order it and then not like it. Guess a trip to Academy is in order!

The blank is nice and I wouldn't mind building on the lighter version for a Baitcaster.
