Minimum-wage workers are older than they used to be. Their average age is 35, and 88 percent are at least 20 years old. Half are older than 30, and about a third are at least 40.
Workers with families. Hard workers. They all deserve better from places such as Mc Donalds, Burger King, Walmarts.
In the states that have raised the minimum wage their unemployment has gone down and businesses are thriving because of more $$ in circulation.

I remember when Reagan wanted to lower the minimum wage and my 16 yr old son was working at Krogers(union). I told him if they do then to quit cause I didn't want my son to be someones slave. .

So let me get this straight; you think Oil corps are evil, the Waltons should be ashamed, but you think its good to invest in these companies for profit... You also think its OK for OTHER peoples kids to be someone "slaves" so you can turn a profit....just not your son?

Conservatives sell all our kids out with outsourcing jobs, refusing to raise minimum wage, tearing apart our school funding, denying Medicaid to poor kids, trashing immigration while employing and abusing immigrants, fracking and ruining aquifers, trouncing environmental regulations, cutting taxes on the rich, raising taxes on the middleclass, hindering the right to organize at the work place, trashing teachers, firemen, and policemen and public workers unions and kids dreams of choosing that for a career.

...I own Petro Chemical stocks. I also own some stocks that deal with water and water holdings that are doing quite well. Have seen most of the growth on the water side due to the lack of precipitation on the west side of the Rockies. I should really thank Al Gore for global warming. I know he has made a ton of money off of the change in climate as well as I.
It seems to me that with the Senate having been controlled by the Dems these last several years that if they really wanted to change anything that is wrong such as "outsourcing" of jobs they could have done so but I guess if they did so it would alienate their biggest campaign donors....so they don't want to rock the boat. IF they really wanted to make the US a more business friendly country and stop the bleeding they would work on lowering the corporate tax rate and more companies would stay here.

If I were POTUS:

Any Ebola exposed folks would have 30 day mandatory quarantine in a CDC quarantine facility or at the DNC National Party HQ, Democratic Caucus HQ, S.J. Lee's Office, Boxer's office or Waxman's office.

All illegals would be rounded up and offered two solutions: Deportation along with a $5000 fine for each payable by promissory note or working for 30 days at the CDC quarantine facility with only a 4 oz bottle of Purell. The ones that sign the promissory note if caught again in US, would be sent to Syria to test for poisonous gas or sent for a walk in Iraq dressed in a US flag and carrying a US voter application.

Hellary Clinton would be charged with crimes against the Government and imprisoned for life with only Monica Lewinsky allowed as her only visitor-and she must wear the blue dress with 'stains' on it.

B. Obama would be offered an Ambassadorship in Benghazi with two soldiers (each of which carry only one bullet per Barney Fife) and I'd allow him to call Hellary should it be invaded-she can listen to him cry for help and then hang up and do nothing-just as she did before, but this time she'd be sober.

Reid and Pelousy-I'd defund everything their State's want or need.

Illinois-I'd open free handgun shops at every 6 blocks in Chicago and give one free loaded clip.

NYC: I'd close the Jersey turnpike permanently.

Detroit: Just let them rot in the filth from their crooks they keep electing.
