I loved this: "There are many in government and academia who argue the higher fuel costs are an intended and necessary result of AB 32. They argue increasing the cost of petroleum-based fuels is the only way to change the types of cars Californians drive and the way they drive them. In their minds, raising the cost of petroleum fuels also has the likely result of making costly alternative fuels more competitive."


So raising fuel costs (gas and diesel) to where they are so expensive folks must change their driving habits by eliminating petro use or pay the high taxes-estimated at $0.12/gallon-add that to the high state tax and federal taxes and just see how much Oil Companies make-almost as much as the Government does and the Government takes no cost of finding and no risk-just taxes the heck outta it and you folks blame the oil companies-it's really the Government that causes high prices.

It is a TAX that will cause the "poor" to suffer but WTH why not says the environuts-sort of like PETA-don't eat meat-starve to death instead.
