Don't know the difference between corner peddlers and politicians. They both have their hands out for something in return. The only difference is the peddler gets $10 a day, while the politician gets thousands a day. Al Gore is the greatest (Greatest Liar). He's so great, he even believes his lies. He thinks no one knows the truth. He's better than Rodney Dangerfield. Rodney tells jokes, Al Gore is a JOKE. Instead of getting the Nobel Prize for global warming, he should have gotten it for greatest lying CLOWN. Enough of politics and politicians. They should be on welfare for 5 years before running for office. This way they'll hopefully understand what normal people go through. After that, 2 year term, then no insurance, retirement, or benefits. They go back to work at a convenient store making minimum wages. Lord Bless.

I agree with keeping politics where it belongs. The problem with that is issues like this, in which politics plays a huge part, are causing problems with our fishing and boating . . . . and our lawnmowers, weedeaters, generators, etc. How can we completely remove politics from a politicised issue? It's a conundrum I don't think we will ever be able to solve.

I think we can all agree that the dad gum EPA and their political handlers need to stick it where the sun don't shine and let us start putting the proper fuel in our machines again. Sorry I brought up Gore. Debate him elsewhere please, like on the surface of the sun.

Ah, hydrogen is the perfect fuel. But it sure does take a lot of energy to isolate it. Remember we're looking for efficiency. Hydrogen also brings with it safety concerns. Would you ride around in a car with a full hydrogen cell through the whack jobs in Houston traffic?

Politics plain and simple. I could say more but the moderators told us not to involve politics here.
I don't think you'd really appreciate what I'd say because it is the truth..

OK now throw all the politics you want at it - it's in the right place. Curmudgeon, I'm sorry I had to edit your post but it was clearly against forum rules and somewhat unlike you. However, somewhat in your defense -- I did say at the beginning of the thread to keep the politics in the political forum and everyone seemed to ignore me except you - including Sandy!! :P
I'll refer everyone to the rules atop the political forum ONCE AGAIN. Call politicians anything you want but when things get out of hand between members I'll take the thread down.

Now carry on because this is definitely getting interesting..
                    Shut up and FISH!!

This administration doesn't care what people want and don't want . They will implement their idealogical concepts by whatever means . The majority of people didn't want Obamacare . Millions spent on that and it's a debacle with millions loosing their current coverage . Obama can only say sorry after Clinton calls him on the carpet and the democratic congressmen who voted for it panicked fearing for their re-election lives . Reluctantly he says we can keep our insurance for another year. Really ? Just say the word pompass prince and it s done . OBUMMERCARE is law and can't be changed on his word alone . The insurance companies are under no obligation to reinstate the canceled policies . And you really want these incompetents deciding your healthcare needs ?

New York has an edict offering a monetary reward to anyone who notifies the state of a fellow citizen possessing a magazine that holds more than 5 rounds . Reminds me of the Nazi state indoctrinating school children and having them turn in their parents if they did not agree with the Nazi regime .

It doesn't take much smarts to figure that its what the "people" want and not the administration. Because corporations are people too. Thanks citizens united!

We already are hearing almost direct quotes of Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Geobbels from Obama with his comments regarding the "Rich" and "Big Corporations" where he portrays them as "Evil" and basically immoral as a rapist-sadly some folks hear his tripe and spew it-SEEMS THOSE FOLKS FORGET HOW AMERICA WAS BUILT AND FOLLOW THE PROPAGANDA OF MARXISM AND COMMUNISM AND THEY ARE TRULY UNAMERICAN-LIKE OBAMA. I pray that this ObamaCare blows up even more and results in repeal as well as opening up the closed minds of the Sheeple that believe Obama and the socialism goes away in the next election and we proceed with the old adage of "You deserve what you work hard for and earn and do not live off other people's hard work" which was the American Way until 2008.

The Ethanol mess has been fought by the API and is still being fought by them. So far the Obama Courts have ruled against the API and Congress has more interest in taking Corn Lobbyist Money than worrying about the effects of bad fuel on combustion engines-and as Sandy pointed out, it is inefficient as a fuel source-it decreases MPG and also increases the cost of food for the poor as well as the cost of corn whiskey.

"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Sorry Mike, I need to be moderated sometimes too. I did try to take the politics out of it, but like I said, it's a politicised (Yes, I prefer the British spelling) issue and it's tough to separate them.

I would like to hear, without ranting (heaven knows we've seen enough of that from both sides), from the left who they blame for ethanol. No healthcare, Fast and Furious, or any other of that crap. Let's have a real and civil discussion on the ethanol issue that affects all of us.

I maintain that it's a bi-partisan, sectional effort by the corn states (mostly mid-west) to promote ethanol as a viable and "green" fuel. I also maintain that it is neither viable, nor green.

                              What say the blue members?

                                Agri-business lobby, pure and simple.
Even the "greens" know it's bad fuel and requires intensive farming to produce. Obviously the coastal areas are against it and now the petroleum industry would like to eliminate it as well.
