Yep, good old POS Maxine Waters and that other POS Leslie Biggert. I paid more in than I got from Ike-it amazes me that this act passed, but since FEMA ignores policy holders and gives away money to the uninsured, I consider it an Obama Spin-it would be solvent if they discounted the monies given to the uninsured IMO.
Just wait until all the defaults on mortgages because when folks bought (like me) and NFIP was about $400/year and now it can be $30,000/year-a lot of folks will either lose their house by defaulting on their mortgage (and then the mortgage companies will force a policy and homeowner can't pay and then another mortgage crisis) or have to pay it off and go w/o flood insurance. $15,000/year-heck, that'll pay for a lot of what my damages would be after another Ike type Hurricane-no thanks, I'll self-insure. Then maybe I can get some "Trina credit card" like FEMA gave all the UNINSURED folks from NOLA and those folks used it on Louis Vuitton Purses and Sneakers. I'll be "stylin" in my new Air Jordans and Mona will have a new purse-thanks Gummint, you da bestest."Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Congress passed the Biggert-Waters Act by 373-52 with 8 reps from Texas voted nah and the rest Yea. Kay Bailey voted yea and Coryn nah. Insurance is nasty business and extremely cutthroat. They always want your money but never want to give back. Its a crap shoot for sure. A majority of the Colorado folks did not have flood policies and most policies are on the Atlantic and Gulf Coast.
Be nice if everyone paid a cap set by past claims whether you filed or not and if a catastrophe hits then ask Congress for Emergency funds. That would lower the annual costs for high riskers and raise the costs for minimum riskers, but sure aint too fair. Or like Obama says spread the wealth. I know the conservatives want less cheaper government but we all pay in to help other Americans when they need it. Help sure sounds better than Entitlement. Whats equally bad is we all live in the refinery/chemical coast so it aint like we can go somewhere else to make a living. So folks in Kansas who want gasoline or diesel should help us when we need it."Nobody's so poor that somebody can't get rich screwing 'em."

Some folks miss the problem-the problem is that FEMA paid uninsured scumbags while ignoring the terms and provisions of their flood policies and because those dumazzes at FEMA say they are paying out more than coming in, they want to penalize the payiong folks for the fark-ups made by FEMA -pretty GD simple-fark the payors for the nonpayers-and of course these two ignorant sluts-Biggert and Waters- are socialist leaning beotches and we get their sex toy shoved up our behinds and they're so GD DUMB they didn't even consider how some PAYORS will default on their mortghages because their GD flood insurance is 10 times what it was originally when they bought the house, so the economy and housing market collapses in ALL coastal communities -NOLA, Biloxi, New Jersey, NY, Calinutsoland, Miami-hell almost all of Florida. Folks fail to understand that even Houston - Clear lake, La Porte, Baytown, Stinkadena, Algoa-anywhere that the BFE changes will have dire affects on homeowners and their ability to pay their mortgage because they are REQUIRED to have flood insurance under their mortgage and how many folks can afford a $15,000-30,000/year Flood Premium for their $150,000 house? My guess is not many!!! These two dumb beotches oughta be forced to live in Venice Louisiana and then let's see what "song" they sing!! Stoopid azzes.
If you bought a house and let's say the BFE was 15' above msl, and your house was at 15' above msl but now by law, a new BFE was established and it's not 20' above msl, you are now facing HUGE flood insurance costs and you policy just jumped by 3000%.
Question No. 1: are the homeowners screwed?
Q No. 2: Are Biggert and Waters ignorant sluts?
Q No. 3: Will housing markets collapse along the entire coast of the USA and thereby cause a economic downturn?
Q No. 4: Are Biggert and Waters extremely wealthy because they are paid off by insurance lobbyists?
the answer is YES.Last edited by Robalo; October 25, 2013, 11:16 AM."Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. Our Republican Congress by a vote of 373-52 passed those 2 ladies proposed bill. Blame them not the sponsors. An area has to be declared a disaster before FEMA can pay anything over what your insurance does not cover or anyone that does not have insurance up to 30K for them. The bill is to raise premiums on high risk areas and to keep from paying over and over again. I've paid for years and never filed a claim, as many have. Forced to obtain the flood policy by the mortgage institution. Banks and insurance companies work side by side and hand by hand. And Yes: Homeowners are screwed
Biggert is GOP and no longer in Congress, Waters is DEM and starting legislation to
give more time to FEMA to update the maps and change the legislation"Nobody's so poor that somebody can't get rich screwing 'em."

Biggert is from ILLINOIS-enuf said. Waters is a complete demagogue and her and SJL are two of the same-they are Cousins Unguided Not Trustworthy Scumbags.
The banks and insurance companies did not draft the Act-those two 'ho beotches did and without forethought as to what it will do-quit your blaming this party or that party and try to see the WHOLE picture-those two POS farked any and all coastal properties and are screwing up the economy-that's why folks are now finding out what they did and are screaming holy hell to our gummint to quit the B-W Act and fix it-PERIOD.
FEMA farked up-they give money to slobs that are uninsured and then blame the insured for FEMA's fark-ups. Got it!! Try being a guy collecting money your policy provides for (such as living expenses for your primary residence) in 2008 at Gulf Greyhound Park where FEMA was set up and be told "You have a job, a house and a car, sorry, we're giving money to the people that have no insurance." and end up on the streets because our Gummint gives scumbags $ while ignoring contracted and paid for insurance policies. Pure BS and IMO is the reason FEMA is upside down. F.U. uninsured folks-for minimal $ they coulda been covered, but noooo, "we be waiting for our handouts" and FEMA was damn happy to oblige instead of saying too farking bad-you made a choice, live with it you uninsured idiot."Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. Yep, our government has been rewarding people for making bad decisions at our expense for a while now, and I'm farking sick of it! I'll probably have to drop flood insurance and self-insure. It's sad that over 20 years ago I bought this place and now they change the rules.Originally posted by Robalo View PostBiggert is from ILLINOIS-enuf said. The current administration is chomping at the bit to get their hands on our 401-k's, 403-b's, and IRA's. Look for those to be taxed at an unreasonable rate, if they're not out-right "nationalized" and rolled into social security."GET OFF MY REEF!"
