  • Quanell x-the two faced scumbag

A south Houston woman said she was only protecting herself when she fatally shot a man at a service station.

"I didn't intend to hurt or harm anyone. I just went to the gas station to get gas," Shanequia McDonald said on Tuesday.

McDonald told Houston police she shot Lewis Daniel shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday at a Gulf station in the 6800 block of Cullen, between Griggs and the South Loop. The case will go to the Harris County grand jury to decide if any charges will be filed.

On Tuesday, McDonald was at the side of community activist Quanell X.

"She tried to walk away. What else was she supposed to do?" Quanell asked.

McDonald said she was pumping gas when Daniel, 58, approached her and began making sexual overtures.

"He's from around this area but personally, no, I don't know him," she said Tuesday.

McDonald said she told the man to leave her alone but he persisted, and then pulled out a knife.

"He kept jumping at me with that knife," McDonald said.

She told police that she grabbed a rifle from her car when the man continued to threaten her with the blade.

McDonald said she fired at the ground, hoping to scare the man off.

"She never intended to shoot directly at him," Quanell said. "She didn't know the bullet actually ricocheted and hit him."

McDonald then went home to tell her mother what happened. Only then was the Houston Police Department notified.

"She left for her own safety. She was afraid that some of those who were sitting with (Daniel) were going to harm her," Quanell said.

The activist said the shooting was a case where Texas' self-defense and stand your ground laws were justified.

Quanell has led recent marches in Houston to protest the not-guilty verdict a Florida jury returned in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, but said McDonald cannot be compared to the man acquitted of killing the 17-year-old Martin.

SO QUANELL X SAYS "STAND YOUR GROUND LAWS" NEED TO BE CHANGED LAST WEEKEND AND YESTERDAY HE SAID THE OPPOSITE-JUST ANOTHER DAY FOR A RACIST POS LIKE CUE BALL 10. MAKES ME LAUGH. I GUESS THE NEW BLACK PANTHER RACISTS ARE WALKING IN CIRCLES ALSO-OK FOR A BLACK TO KILL, BUT NOT A "WHITE HISPANIC". HMMMMMMMM. MAKES SENSE RIGHT?
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Two totally different cases. I'm not on either side and I don't like Quanell but thr person who got shot had a knife not a hoodie. Stand your ground when your life is being threatened. You think Trayvon could have killed Zimmerman with his bare hands? Little kid against a grown man who was a cop. Lol!!!!!

Whoa , back up . Trayvon was no little kid . He was 17 and bigger than Zimmerman . He punched and broke zimmermans nose and had him on the ground pounding his head on the concrete while Zimmerman screamed for help . His life was at stake as he pulled his weapon and fired one round . I think he showed restraint in firing only one round . The media shows pictures of trayvon when he was younger to depict him as a child . Trayvon was the racist as recorded on his cell phone . A jury of zimmermans peers after seeing all the evidence rendered a just verdict .

Says Zimmerman. No one but those two and God knows what really happened. Either way, dispatcher told him not to follow Trayvon but he did. Who was defending himself? That's the real question. If someone followed you for no reason other than being black what would you do? he quoted "they" always get away with it and he was always calling when he saw people of color. It's not a race issue with me. But the comparison with this local thing and Trayvon isn't appropriate.

Friend , you say no one knows what really happened . So , what about Zimmerman stops and starts to return to his car after the dispatcher says to stop following him and trayvon pursues him , punches him , and is on top of him pounding his head on the pavement . It doesn't matter if Zimmerman was following trayvon , it doesn't matter if heated words were exchanged . It matters if one becomes becomes violent physically and attacks an individual and puts him in a situation he cannot escape flat on his back being beaten to death . One has the right to defend his life with deadly force if necessary . That situation and the local one does need to be reviewed in its own context .

Point taken. I'm just saying given his history of calling the cops time and time again, he was ready to kill someone. He was boiling over like a sniper who trains with thousands of bullets and never sees a real target. The law is flawed.

Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher=fail. Not where my thought came from either, although I've read all but the newest book.

Jerry, I think the guy in Houston is his brother Quanell Y (not to be confused with their father, Quanell Z).

I always thought his father was Quanell V? Regardless, I think it's funny that last week X says change the laws and then he uses the same laws to help explain why she shot someone-speaketh outta both sides of his mouth-as usual. Wonder how much X got paid by the woman?

Haven't read the books, but me and my 12 year old did enjoy the movie. Don't hold it against me.
